Nomikai (Japanese Restaurant)

Starts Sat 13th Apr 2024 at 20:00
Ends at 21:30
Cost FREE
Max 10 attendees
Type IN-PERSON Event

Location: Miss Suzy, Castle Street

The Japanese Society will be holding a nomikai event on Saturday April 13th! The Japanese word "nomikai" literally means "drink-meet". In Japan, nomikai is a quintessential part of adult working life, where you socialize with colleagues after work to foster a greater sense of community (and also to ease the burden of a hard-working day).

For this event, we'll be visiting our local Japanese restaurant, Miss Suzy, to experience some Japanese cuisine. Everyone is welcome - if you've never tried Japanese food before or don't know how to use chopsticks, don't worry, you're in good hands. The venue must be booked in advance, so please book your place here on the C&S website to secure your place at the event! Availability is limited to 13 people. If for some reason you become unable to attend, please cancel your booking here as early as possible, so we get notified that a place has become available for another person.

As payment can only be split 4 ways per group, payment will be collected from everyone after you've placed your order in the restaurant. Please pay Chris, Chairperson by Revolut (@christrfhl), making sure to add your name in the reference line so we know who has paid. If you don't have Revolut, payment by cash will also be accepted.
